The first major renovation of the Messmer Center is underway since it was built 25 years ago. The work is being done by several contractors: KB Construction and Accoustical, BaseSix, Warner Audio and Video and LockTec and includes:
- New 2x2 ceiling tiles throughout the administrative and common areas
- Kitchen-rated ceiling tiles as mandated by the Madison County Health Department
- New HVAC diffusers and return-air grates
- A new fire protection system with panel and sensors
- A new state-of-the-art WIFI system
- An updated security system

During the demolition of the old school and construction of Phase 2, the Messmer Center will host the temporary Holy Family School office in the room just off the lobby.
This renovation should be completed by the time school starts on August 4, 2025.
