To mark the 50th anniversary of the Diocese of Birmingham this year, Bishop Robert Baker has invited all the parishes in the diocese to participate in this event at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Center. It is a gathering of clergy, religious and lay people to celebrate and glorify the Holy Eucharist, and to seek the best ways to spread its knowledge and love around the world.
There will be great speakers, wonderful music, a procession through the streets, prayer, Eucharistic Adoration, Mass, confession and opportunities to meet people from all over our diocese.
The program begins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, with the General Session Keynote by Bishop Felipe Estevez of the Diocese of St. Augustine, Florida and Eucharistic Adoration at 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, June 29, there is a full day of speakers and break-out sessions in English and Spanish, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and concluding with Mass at 4:00 p.m.
